Sweaters with Tights

This looks circa 1990 but as with all late-eighties and early nineties trends this one is back, too.

I dig the sleeves on the sweater and the larger, loose turtle neck.

However, you know this is going to go badly. Eventually someone will open the door to the frump and we are going to see long t-shirts and sloppy looking tights that are way too tight.

It's coming. I promnise. You know we just talked them out of those tights like five years ago.

Bright Tights

Wanna be fashion forward? Wanna take a risk? Here is something that I am considering: bright tights with an outfit of subtle color.

That seems to be the rule-to wear the bright tights with beige, brown and black. Not another bright color or the same color (an all purple dress with purple tights will make you look like the fruit of the loom grapes).

Plaid!

I have been waiting since Jr. High for Plaid to come back in. Here it is ladies. Make it girly, or make it a boyfriend look. But plaid is fab!

Yellow!

I have been noticing so many yellow tops for fall. Honey yellow in particular. The color has enough brown in it that it mixes well with brown-think the equestrian brown jacket, jean skirt and brown boots with a flowing yellow top underneath. The same yellow top could be used with jeans on casual friday at work. Then, if you wanted to dress it up you could wear it with black slacks to make it to a classy friday night dinner social. What is 'in' for fall?
